Long Answer Questions:
Attempt any two questions. (2x10=20)
1.      What do you mean by combinational circuit? Design a combinational circuit that accepts a three-bit number and generates an output binary number equal to the square of the input number.
2.      What is JK master slave flip-flop? Design its logic circuit, truth table and explain the working principle.
3.      What do you mean by full adder? Design a full adder with truth table and logic gates.

4        Show that the dual of the exclusive-OR is equal to its complement.
5        What do you mean by binary counter? Explain with state diagram and excitation table for 3-bit binary counter.
6        Explain the operation of Decoder.
7        What are the special characteristics of IC digital logic family? Explain them in brief.
8        The Boolean function F = 1 is the simplified version of the function F = y’ + x’z’. Are there any don’t-care conditions? If so, what are they?
9        Obtain the 9’s and 10’s complement of  a) 13579  b) 90090 decimal number.
10    Write the rule for obtaining the NAND logic diagram from a Boolean function.
11    What is sequential logic? What are its important features?
12    Explain the excitation table for T flip-flop.
13    Write short notes on(any two):

3.      What do you mean by magnitude comparator? Design logic circuit for four-bit magnitude comparator and explain it.
